U14 vs Macklins Academy

Today was a fantastic showcase of what our club is all about! Our Macklins U14s took to the court against Macklins Academy, and while they might have been playing on opposite teams today, the overriding theme was absolute togetherness. We are one club, and seeing both squads support each other, compete with respect, and share the court was a massive win for the entire Macklins family.

Here is how the match unfolded:

Quarter 1: A brilliantly tight start from both sides, with everyone finding their feet. The quarter ended neck-and-neck at 3-3.

Quarter 2: The Academy squad started to find their rhythm and capitalize on their chances, pulling ahead to a 10-5 lead.

Quarter 3: The U14s kept their heads up and fought hard for every ball, but the Academy continued to build momentum, extending the score to 14-7.

Quarter 4: (Final): Both teams left it all out on the court in the final stretch. The match finished with a 19-10 victory for Macklins Academy.

Regardless of the final scoreline, the level of effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship from all the girls was incredibly inspiring.

A massive shout out to our Players of the Match, who both put in incredible shifts today:

Grace: Absolutely stellar on defence! She demonstrated great reading of the game, applying constant pressure and making it incredibly tough for the opposition.

Agnes: Fantastic movement and teamwork in the goal circle! She worked beautifully with her teammates to create space and converted some brilliant goals.

Well done to Grace, Agnes, and every single player who stepped onto the court today. You all did Macklins proud!
